CASS Academy is CASS Housing’s independent living skills program designed to help adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities grow and strengthen their skills to help them reach their full potential and life’s next steps. CASS Academy’s programs target one or more of the 5 Focus Areas of independent living:
Safety: In Home and Community
Cooking and Housekeeping
Finances
Healthy Relationships
Community Engagement: Vocation, Recreation, and Transportation.
Beginning in August of 2024 CASS Academy will be a two-year application-based program. The application window for the August 2024 program opened on April 1, 2024, and closed on May 31, 2024. Check back soon for details on our next application period.
CASS Academy takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Cost is $400.00 per year for 6, six-week sessions with an additional summer session focusing on professional skills and community involvement.
CASS Academy will take up to 12 participants per cohort. Decisions will be based on application, assessments, and a cleared background check.
